Unfortunately, most notifications on smartphones appear when the user is in a public vehicle full or in the office would be very disturbing.

think we just want to get a notification that really matters. Well, here are five tips to reduce the annoyance of Android device notification as quoted from Make Use Of

1. Turn off Promotional Notifications

Today more and more companies or products are gushing apps and want users to install them on smartphones. But when installed, the user must be willing to get push notification so that there is more interaction between users with the application.

Type of notification also varied, ranging from a smartphone vibrate until it just to say something. To avoid it, you can see which annoying apps you receive every day. Then you can go into app settings to see more on how to disable app notifications.

If not, on your Android device, you can press and hold the notification that appears in the notification bar. Then, you will go to the settings menu. You can also go to Settings then choose Notification then select the app that interrupt and disable it.

2. Turn Off Notifications from Social Media

Not a few smartphone users are actively using social media. Even in a smartphone usually a user have a Facebook account, Instagram, Twitter, and others.

Well, the number of notifications from medsos is sometimes very disturbing. Especially if the form notification is not important, for example the A participate in commenting on the photo of the B that you have previously commented on.

Instead of disabling all notifications, you can choose which ones to tell and which ones are not. On Facebook you can go to the Settings menu (three dots on the top right of the screen) then scroll down to select Notification Settings. Next you can choose the type of notification that will enter.

On Twitter, you can go to the menu then click Settings and Privacy then Notification, then select Push Notification. You can choose different types of activities to be notified.

3. Use "Do not Disturb" Mode

Smartphone users often choose to turn vibrate to avoid uninterrupted notifications. In fact, the vibration when the smartphone is in the bag or pocket when the user is in a meeting or there in public vehicles is very disturbing.

Instead of activating vibration, you can actually use silent mode. But this has the potential to make you miss a very important notification, such as a phone call from a parent.

There is a more effective way to avoid notification interruptions, ie using Do Not Disturb mode. You need to set it before using this mode.

How to go to Settings then select Sound and Vibration, then select the Do Not Disturb option.

Users can set exceptions in the Allow Exceptions option and then enable Repeated Callers and select None for calls or messages (Calls from and Message from) from unwanted people.

By enabling this mode, your Android will not vibrate or sound everytime a notification comes in. But if someone calls repeatedly within a few minutes, his call will come in.
