Most of you must be familiar with Google's proprietary email service called Gmail.
So one of the most widely used email services in the world, it's natural that many users feel 'expert' with this Gmail service. In fact, Gmail has many features that are not known even to loyal users. What are the secret features?
See numbers that highlight the number of inboxes near the Settings menu? Apparently, when clicked, you can sort email from the oldest to the latest or vice versa.
2. Prioritize your Inbox
In Gmail, you can see incoming mail based on the most important, unread, starred, and subdivided based on all three things before.
How to? Easy enough, all you need to do is move the mouse cursor to the right of the inbox in Gmail to show a small arrow.
Click on the arrow to bring up the inbox type options, such as Default, Important First, Unread First, and Priority Inbox.
3. Create a Group from Contacts
If you often send email to many people at the same time, there is an easier way than to have to type all recipient email addresses one by one.
One such way is to create a group. All you need to do is simply create an email as usual, then click the word "To" at the beginning of the column and the window will appear "Select Contacts" panel.
Choose who you want to enter into the group, then click "Save as group", and do not forget to name the group.
4. Show Unread Only Emails.
This is one way that Gmail users often overlook. You can search unread email by typing "is: unread" in the search field. Easy enough is not it?
5. Find Old Email
As above, many email users still do not know how to search emails with specific dates, months and years. Google brings these features with the "after:" and "before:" tags in the search field.
Take for example whenever you want to search emails before or after 2015. You can type "before: 2015" in the search field, and emails before that year will be displayed.
In addition to the above, you can also use the "older_than:" and "newer_than:" ways to search for specific emails. If you enter "older_than: 2y" Gmail will show an email more than 2 years ago.
You can use "m" for month, "d" for days.
Good luck!
